Atacan High school students had a conversation with author Işık Öğütçü, who is the son of author Orhan Kemal, on Tuesday, March 28. Our students have read the books; Baba Evi-Avare Yıllar, Önce Ekmek, Murtaza, Eskici ve Oğulları, which were in the year of reading list. In the conversation, they learned both the history of Orhan Kemal’s life and his experiences as a writer.

Işık Öğütçü talked about his father, Orhan Kemal, and his memories, and how the author had crossed paths with Nazım Hikmet. At the event, our students had the opportunity to ask questions about Orhan Kemal and his books.
